At the conclusion of the meal (where everyone else was served huge heaping bowls of the afore-mentioned stuff, in addition to bits of meat, fish, and other stuff I wasn’t sure about), we heard more speeches, and then, finally Elder Bean gave a speech, which was translated to the group in Lugandan by Simbwa. He introduced each of us, and then told them we were going to sing a song to them. We sang As I Have Loved You. Not to let us off the hook, he gave them an encore by having us sing I Am A Child of God. I think he wanted us more for part of his traveling road show, than he wanted us to see the Hand Over!

We spent some time singing Primary songs with the children, and they joined right in, singing back the words as we taught them to them.
It was a completely enjoyable day. It was such a privilege to be in the far off village and see these humble people who are trying so hard to fend for themselves and make a living to support themselves.
We were happy!

At last, the symbolic pineapple was handed over, and the project was now completely owned by Rose and her group of women.

I don't remember seeing the hat in your suitcase. I like the addition and it appears to be doing its job. You've done a get job of capturing the beauty of the children-I love their eyes!
