Brad proclaimed today as “BLD”, which was celebrated with élan in our humble apartment. We hope others around the world enjoyed the holiday as much as did Brad. After a routine visit to the dermatologist one week before leaving California for the MTC, Brad’s doctor scheduled him for removal of some skin cancers from his nose and forehead. This rather unexpected surgical procedure on his face occurred 3 days prior to leaving for our mission. Those of you who saw him the night before we got on the plane, remember his swollen face, black eye, and difficult-to-conceal bandages. The doctor told him to keep the wounds covered for 4 weeks. Being the obedient patient that he is, Brad did as the doctor prescribed, kept the bandaids on for 4 weeks, and is finally rid of them today, thus “BANDAID LIBERATION DAY"!!
The skin graft is healing nicely!

Happy bandaid liberation day! It healed up nicely. Good job being the dutiful patient! Now just continue to keep it out of the sun-that might be tough to do!
