Seriously, I was so amazed at this creature, that I made Brad back the truck up so I could roll down the window and get just the right shot. If only I could have captured in the same frame, the flock (...covey, pod, herd...what is a group of turkeys called?) of turkeys that were across the road...you would then agree that the resemblance is more than that of kissin' cousins!

I think the Ag department at UC Davis better send some specialists out here, because I have discovered a new cross-breeding program!
