Another week in the Pearl of Africa

We would like to report that we have had another great week in the Uganda Kampala Mission. We continue to marvel at the wonderful experiences that we have every day, without fail. One of our favorite activities is to be in the homes of the people. They are so hospitable, and we must beg them in advance to refrain from preparing us a meal, or we would be eating too many meals per day! The homes that we visit are humble and sweet, and the people are so happy and cordial. During our visits this past week, we delivered home made play dough to a 4 year old girl, brownies to a new member of our branch, and we taught the Young Single Adults how to make oatmeal cookies in an outdoor oven (a 50 gallon drum built within a brick structure, heated by wood...it worked!), some of which were delivered to an older widow who suffers from arthritis. There is no better feeling than helping to put a smile on someone's face, is there?

Really, we love each and every day. The only thing we miss, is you - family and friends.
