Another stamp in our passport...

While the young missionaries regard transfers as a part of their
mission every 4-6 months, as older couple missionaries, we were surprised to
receive a transfer. President Christensen is transferring us to another part
of the mission - Ethiopia. The young missionaries are fond of that country, and
refer to it as "Utopia"!
While we are saddened to leave our Makindye
Branch and the other missionaries we have grown to love, we are excited
for a new adventure in a new country. We move to Addis Ababa the
third week of November, and I'll have our new contact information
up soon.

Great updates parents! Maybe you should lock yourselves out of your house more often!

Hello Brad and Karen,
I enjoy reading about all of your adventures and seeing the pictures. Brad is always enjoying the children.
I love the picture of the snail. That is some major escargot.
Love you guys!

Karen & Brad,

It was sooooooo good to talk to you the other day!! I forgot how much I miss being able to talk to you!

There is something that I forgot to tell you. I have been bribing myself to get back into walking again. I have completely updated my walking wardrobe. If you remember Karen, when we walked in the morning, I used to just throw on any old t-shirt that was lying on the ground and same old sweatpants. Well, to get myself motivated to walk since you have been gone, every time that we are in a sports/running store (which is quite often with Brooke!) I buy myself a new shirt or outfit to wear when I walk! It seems to be working and I'm proud to say that I have been walking for about 8 weeks and looking pretty stylish too:)! All I have to say, is that this mission is gonna cost Mark a bundle by the time you get home and I might have to start walking twice a day to be able to wear all my new outfits!!

Anyway, I just want to tell you how much we love you guys and we are so proud of you! Thanks for letting me call you! It was great!!
