Always the competitive one, Brad challenged Isaac to a game of PIG - the loser had to take the missionary lessons. You can figure out who Brad thought would win! Interestingly, Isaac had a cut finger the night of the match, leaving Brad to play 21 with the local neighborhood 20 year olds. CONCLUSION: Although he was coming in second to all these kids 30 years younger than him, Brad was happy to know that it was time to leave in order to place Skype phone call to Mark, Jenny, and Gracie. His junior companion has now forbid him to play anything but HORSE or PIG, as she does not want to experience the waiting room of the hospital here while he is in having achilles tendon repair surgery! We'll continue to story of whether or not Isaac shows for the rematch next week!

If you read the signs, you will note that there is a new diet technique that has not been widely broadcast...apparently, if you live on the equator, you weigh 3% less!!! Tempting....?
These pictures were taken on June 3 when Brad and I took 4 departing elders to the Equator for their "Last Hurrah" (a mission tradition, apparently). We straddled the hemispheres, watched water drain clockwise north of the equator, and counterclockwise south of the equator, and straight down on the equator, did some souvenir window-shopping (although there are no windows in the souvenir huts), and delivered the 4 missionaries back to the mission home at the end of the day.

What a fun time at the equator. We would LOVE to come and visit our African family members! It's fun to get updates on the blog like this so that we can see pictures to go along with your stories.
when you're done you can go back and brad can be the ugandan olympic hoops coach. might i say that i'd be a good general manager for the team as well.

All that I can say is...WOW! It's wonderful to be able to see and read about the amazing things both of you are accomplishing during your mission. I can't say that I'm jealous (mainly because I consider myself a for-adventure-or-otherwise-travel-chicken), but your stories bring it all home.
Things are going pretty smoothly with MGT (at least from my perspective...Burgess is so busy, he may have harsher words to say). SB 90 is revving up for a busier-than-usual claiming season, with a few deadlines before the end of the year! Oh, good times!
